it all start? A bare rock, a piece of dirt and a seed are the beginning

You'll also make a pop up book to bring home to read to Mom and Dad about

Dirt Made My Lunch:

some of the clothes we wear and the houses we live in too! We're going
to "dig" into the truth about dirt, exploring what kind of mountains
made it and all the little critters that live in it. Kids will make their
own little window on the underworld to bring home and watch "lunch grow".

That poor little speck of sand of the beach started out as a majestic mountain
miles away from here. How did it get here? What happened to it? Solve the
mystery.
How to Hide:
...you thought
you knew how to hide? Learn how animals use all kinds of tricks to hide
themselves and we play some hide and seek ourselves. You'll make a pop
up book to bring home to Mom and Dad to show them "how to hide"
I can make that!:
Turn stuff
you have around the house into fun toys to play wit. Its a great way to
make something useful and recycle! Bring a few plastic grocery bags and
a half gallon paper milk carton. Kids will come away with five different
projects.
NYS Insect: Ladybugs:
Did you
know there are more than one kind of ladybug? Just look at the number of
spots. Have fun with ladybugs and their babies, maybe we can hatch some
eggs! You can try the same when you build your own beetle observatory.
North Country Night:
What does
go bump in the night outside? But night is not such a scary place when
you know what's going on, and there's a lot! Owls, bats, fireflies and
coyotes all call the night "day." We'll have fun with the adaptations animals
have for the night.
Nuts to You:
We'll get
squirrelly to as we search for red and gray squirrels. How would you do
as a squirrel find out in our game of squirrel survivor
Oddhopper Opera:
The cricket
chirrups, the frog croaks, the trees creak and you have the makings of
a wonderful musical. You'll make some muscial instruments of your own and
we'll put together our own Oddhopper Opera
Salamander Room
They look
like lizards but they are not! Secret and elusive we'll search for these
ancient looking critters, but don't worry I always bring some of my own.
Squish
I love that
sound when my boots Squish through the mud. Its all about those places
where water makes the ground go Squish and the crtters that make their
home there
