Nature On the Move is a new venture committed to providing your business, organization or school with the highest level of excellence in interpretive programming and educational services that promote a better understanding, appreciation and stewardship of this wonderful region, the Adirondacks. 
  • Sandy Bureau, founder of Nature On The Move has a masterís degree in Curriculum Design and Instructional Technology and a Bachelorís degree in Forest Biology from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and an AAS from Paul Smiths College. 
  • High school science teacher, teaching all the sciences as well as developing and teaching an Adirondack Ecology course. During her tenure she participated in the Adirondack Park Visitor Interpretove Centers EDUCATION ADVISORY GROUP, co-authored a middle school currciulum on wetlands (Wetnet), participated in a National Science Foundation summer Instituite Watershed Worlds and spent a summer in Hungary on a conservation fellowship to lay the foundation for partnerships between citizen water quality monitoring groups on the Hundson river and Danube.
  • Naturalist and facility manager at the Adirondack Park Visitor Interpretive Centers in Newcomb. During her tenure there she developed popular programs such as the Hudson Basin River Watch Program, Nature For The Very Young, Life In the Woods as well as countless of interpretive programs for all ages. 
  • Director of Interpretive Programs for the Adirondack Park Agency, where she was instrumental in the development of the Art Exposure Program, Small Critters (a research experience for middle school students), The Forest Ecosystem Research and Demonstration Area and the Adirondack Curriculum Project. 
  • Sandy is a member of the National Association for Interpretation, National Science Teachers Association, Science Teachers Association of NY State, the American Association of Museums, the Newcomb Chamber of Commerce and the Lake Placid/ Essex Co. Visitors Bureau.
